২৬) আধুনিক বিশ্বে নারীরা প্রমাণ করেছে যে তারা কাজে কর্মে পুরুষদের থেকে পিছিয়ে নেই। তাদের ভূমিকা কেবল মা বা স্ত্রী হিসেবেই শেষ হয় না। তারা স্কুল-কলেজ, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে শিক্ষক হিসেবে কাজ করছে। রাজনীতি ও রাষ্ট্র পরিচালনায়ও পিছিয়ে নেই। বাংলাদেশের রাজনীতিতে তারাই শীর্ষে।

Translation: In modern world women have proved that they are not backward than men in any work. Their role does not end only as mothers or wives. They are working as teachers in schools, colleges and universities. They are not lagging behind in politics and running the state. They hold the topmost position in the politics of Bangladesh. 

 

২৭) জেলেরা দিনে ও রাতে কাজ করে। অনেক জেলে রাতে মাছ ধরতে যায়। সে রাতে ঝড় হতে পারে। অন্ধকার ও ঠান্ডা একটি রাতও হতে পারে। তারা যখন নদীতে যায় তাদের পরিবার উদ্বিগ্ন থাকে।

Translation: Fishermen work by day and night. Many fishermen go to fish during night. That night may be stormy. Or, that night may be dark and cold. Their families remain anxious when they go to rivers.  

 

২৮) বোলপুর জায়গাটি পরিচিত রবীন্দ্রনাথের শান্তিনিকেতনের জন্য। বোলপুর স্টেশন থেকে রিকশায় করে শান্তিনিকেতনে যাওয়া যায়। রবীন্দ্রনাথের শান্তিনিকেতন। চারিদিকে সবুজের সমারোহ। এত শান্তি আর নিরিবিলি পরিবেশ-শান্তিনিকেতন যেন সত্যিই শান্তির জায়গা। সেখানে গেলে মনটা আপনা-আপনিই আনন্দে শিহরিত হয়ে ওঠে।

Translation: Bolpur is familiar for the Shantiniketan of Rabindranath. One can go to Shantiniketan from Bolpur Railway Station by rickshaw. It is the Shantiniketan of Rabindranath. Green is abundant everywhere. The atmosphere is so peaceful and calm that Shantiniketan were, as if, really a place for peace. If anybody goes there, his mind is thrilled with joy automatically.

২৯) ঢাকা বাংলাদেশের রাজধানী। এটা পৃথিবীর জনবহুল রাজধানী শহরগুলোর একটা। যানজট এখানকার নিয়মিত সমস্যা। বিদুৎ সরবরাহে বিঘœ ঘটা একটা স্বাভাবিক ব্যাপার। এমনকি বিশুদ্ধ পানির সমস্যাও একটি সাধারণ বিষয়।

Translation: Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh. It is one of the populous capital cities of the world. Traffic jam is a regular problem here. Power failure is a normal affair. Even the problem of pure drinking water is a common matter.

 

৩০) বই পড়া একটি চমৎকার অভ্যাস। সত্যি কথা বলতে কি, এর কোন বিকল্প নেই। অজানাকে জানতে হলে বই পড়তে হবে। তবুও অনেকে এর গুরুত্ব বোঝে না। আজকাল ছাত্র-ছাত্রীরা বইয়ের প্রতি যথেষ্ট আগ্রহ দেখায় না।

Translation: Reading books is a wonderful habit. To tell the truth, it has no alternative. Books should be read to know the unknown. Yet many do not realize its importance. Nowadays students don’t show much interest in reading books.
